Trees of Life

A new physical installation game by We Throw Switches, Robin Baumgarten and Luci Holland

Inspired by Darwin’s ‘tree of life’ sketch, and commissioned by the Edinburgh Science Festival, it was first shown at the National Museum of Scotland in April 2023.

I had such a blast working with Craig, Andrew and Robin on this beautiful and fascinating project. I created the interactive soundtrack and programmed the audio system on a Raspberry Pi, which included a generative beat-maker, and a relaxing, always-remixing orchestral loop that meant the music was never exactly the same for each player.
